Norfolk Southern’s Grant Cothran, Manager National Accounts and Alan Shaw, VP Intermodal Operations, will join us for December’s CoffeeTalk. The discussion will focus on the Charlotte intermodal terminal as a unique, “industrial-scale smart-growth” infill project. This project, spanning almost 20 years, took place thanks to a partnership between the public and private sector, with the relationship between Charlotte Douglas International Airport and Norfolk Southern at the center. Participants will also learn more about how the Uptown terminal sets the stage for continued expansion of Charlotte’s urban core.
