Just one year ago, Alyson took a position as the Director of the Master of Science in Real Estate program at UNC Charlotte’s Center for Real Estate. She is driven, strongly determined and has a positive attitude. Since accepting this position, Alyson has been actively involved in many aspects of ULI, including the ULI Charlotte Advisory Board. She believes “ULI is a key partner in the Center’s advancement of real estate education, research and community outreach.”
Alyson was born Charleston, SC. She and her husband have daughter and two dogs. In her free time (which is minimal), she is a fitness fanatic – you will find her in the early morning hours at FlyWheel or FlyBarre. Alyson earned her undergraduate degree from UNC Chapel Hill, her first Master of Science degree from University of Georgia, and her second from UNC Charlotte.
In the fall, Alyson will continue ULI’s UrbanPlan program in the MSRE curriculum. UrbanPlan is an academically challenging classroom-based curriculum that gives high school and graduate students an opportunity to discover how market and non-market forces in their community affect what can be approved, financed, built and tenanted. ULI Charlotte volunteers work closely with Alyson to support this program.
