Adopt-a-Day Habitat for Humanity Recap

The phenomenal success of this year’s Habitat for Humanity, Adopt a Day reflects the ever-increasing dedication and enthusiasm ULI members display on a continual basis. On September 20th, ULI’s task was to fully complete the roofing phase of the house by the end of the day. Our awesome volunteers finished the roof by 10AM and our afternoon shift was able to complete siding on the house. Modeled after national product councils, the mission of the regional council program is to convene councils comprised of ULI members to promote learning, build District Council leadership, share knowledge and expertise and encourage regional collaboration. ULI Carolinas Regional Initiative Councils (RIC)—the Carolina Trends Council, Young Leader Council and Rethinking Southern Cities Council—descended on Asheville, NC in August to learn about Asheville’s market dynamics, development trends and successful public private partnerships.
