YLG Opportunity at the ULI Fall Meeting

We encourage ULI Young Leaders to sign up for Coffee Connections at the ULI Fall Meeting in Boston. This program was launched in 2017 with the goal of better integrating our young leaders with ULI senior members by coordinating brief (45min) meetings over coffee. Apply Now for Emerging Leaders Forum

The ULI Charlotte Emerging Leaders Forum’s purpose is to provide a platform for participants to become better leaders and learn responsible leadership in the use of land to enhance the total environment by sharing their business lives in an atmosphere of confidentiality, trust, and respect. All ULI Charlotte Young Leader members are invited to apply to participate in the Emerging Leaders Forum program. Your application will be reviewed by the ULI Charlotte Leadership Development committee. Applications will be accepted through Wednesday, January 31st. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by Friday, February 9th.

ULI Young Leaders are invited to tour and discuss 933 Louise Avenue. A former Kellogg’s plant, the 60,000 SF property is located in between the Plaza Midwood and Belmont neighborhoods within walking distance of close to 1,000 new apartment units. Local investors purchased the property from Kellogg’s in 2014, leading its transformation into a dynamic, mixed-use project. Young Leaders Meet & Greet

On March 31, the Young Leader Group hosted a Meet & Greet at the new Seoul Food Meat Co. on South Church Street.  About 60 individuals attended to hear from owner Tim Chun about the why he chose their location (he was back and forth with Plaza Midwood), and the hoops he had to jump through to get code and permit approval (they had to build the side walk twice due to not meeting code the first time). ULI Charlotte Young Leaders are invited to experience the Movement Center. The May 2 Mobile Workshop will include a tour of the innovative facility and discussion about the history and idea behind this unique redevelopment project.
