This committee focuses on the outreach to future leaders in our community by fostering relationships with community high school and university educators. By working with key contacts to encourage the use of such tools as UrbanPlan in the high schools and universities, supporting participation in the Hines Design Competition and participation in the student fellowship program, students learn to make more educated land use decisions and are encouraged to actively participate in their community in these discussions.
This committee strives to improve the quality of ULI membership experience, improve retention, expand membership, increase membership diversity and understand the needs and wants of members.

Sponsorship Committee raises sufficient sponsorship revenue to support District Council activities with minimal time and effort on the part of volunteers and staff. Committee members also plan and support two sponsor-only events and assist in specific event sponsorship opportunities.
The Communications Committee’s mission is to support the external communications needs of the organization to achieve overall awareness and understanding of events, issues, and initiatives among members, prospects, the community, and media. It also serves to engage members fully with ULI on the local level. We achieve these goals by elevating ULI’s external visibility in the press and by seeking out the best technologies to improve our email, website, blog, and social media outreach.
The Programs Committee facilitates relationship building and career advancement among ULI Charlotte’s members through high-quality educational programs. We offer over 10 programs per year, which are developed and coordinated by committee, including major symposiums, breakfast meetings and networking opportunities.
