NEXT
For members ages 35-50. NEXT identifies, connects, and elevates the next generation of leaders for the built environment and ULI globally and fosters leadership opportunities in ULI, the real estate industry, and beyond.
The NEXT Committee hosts several engagement opportunities throughout the year that are specifically aimed at helping NEXT members elevate their careers. Some of our programs include:
- Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Network – The P2P group is not just a social hour, but an advanced networking opportunity where members can problem solve and learn from each other in a collaborative, confidential setting.
- Rolling Applications. Participant application can be found here.
- Leadership Connection – Hear from an industry leader on their background, career path and lessons learned.
- Project Preview – An inside look at current projects that are under construction in the Charlotte area.
- Social Events – Social events offering opportunities to meet, network, and get to know other ULI Members in a relaxed, informal atmosphere.
- Virtual meetings with neighboring District Councils (most recently with ULI Nashville)
Young Leaders Group
For members under age 35. YLG educates and engages young real estate professionals through ensuring continuous educational development, sharing best practices, exposure to industry leaders and fostering an environment conducive to creating and maintaining lasting relationships.
YLG hosts ongoing opportunities throughout the year including a mentoring program (Emerging Leaders Forum) and several engagement opportunities that are specifically aimed to help young leaders understand and experience all facets of real estate.
Women’s Leadership Initiative
WLI promotes the advancement and visibility of women as leaders, increases the number of women who serve in leadership positions, increases the number of women who are active members, and supports the development of young women members as leaders in the real estate industry and ULI.
Throughout the year, WLI will offer special events and programs for female members. Some of our programs include:
- WLI Mentorship Program – The program is designed to connect young women members with established real estate professionals and provide the opportunity to get to know future women leaders in the industry.
- Social Events – Social events offering opportunities to meet, network, and get to know other ULI Members in a relaxed, informal atmosphere.
- Virtual meetings with neighboring District Councils (most recently with ULI Triangle)
- Conversations with a Leader – Hear from accomplished women leaders on their backgrounds, career paths and lessons learned.
