On May 27th, ULI Charlotte Young Leaders hosted an exciting and informative discussion with two pioneers of Charlotte real estate: Johnny Harris, president and CEO of Lincoln Harris; and Ray Jones, retired managing partner and executive vice president for Summit Properties, Inc.
These pioneers have experienced and thrived through multiple real estate cycles and were willing to share their experiences with ULI’s Young Leader Group. Chris William of Wachovia Securities and the Carolina Business Review facilitated the discussion and Economist John Connaughton of UNC Charlotte added economic historic perspective to the discussion.
Here is a sample of what our speakers had to say:
Regrets/Advice
- Should not have been building to yesterday’s market.
- Always challenge assumptions and deal the market to come.
- Do homework and build the product of the future.
