As a vice president in Wells Fargo’s Corporate Net Lease Capital Markets Group, Christina Langrall’s focus is structuring single tenant debt and equity deals. Her group serves as the lender of principal for a range of corporate clients. Christina moved into this role in 2016, after working for ten years in Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities. The best part of her job, she says, is “the opportunity to be both creative and collaborative,” two qualities that challenge “traditional banking stereotypes.”
Christina joined ULI as a way to tap into Charlotte’s real estate community. A member for four years, she appreciates the connections she’s made and the exposure the organization provides beyond the scope of local projects. Serving as the 2017-2019 ULI’s Women’s Leadership Initiative chair provides another way for her to engage with peers and share insights.
She advocates pursuing “learning opportunities outside of one’s normal day-to-day role” whenever possible. “This not only makes you a more valuable resource,” she says, “but helps you strengthen your overall network. It may even help you see your own role in a new light.” When it comes to inspiring others to do their best work, she tries to lead by example.
She is drawn to the challenges of adaptive reuse projects, especially those in historic areas, such as Charleston and Georgetown in her home town of Washington, D.C. A graduate of Wake Forest University, Christina and her husband moved to Charlotte in 2005 where they are now raising their young son and newborn. She loves to cook and find great restaurants in her adopted city, two hobbies she says are directly related to her third: working out.
She’s an avid reader and movie-watcher with eclectic taste and has been known to quote the writer Oscar Wilde more than once. Her favorite place to vacation is Maui, with the Caribbean coming in a close second. She and her husband support a variety of causes in Charlotte.
