“ULI offers exceptional value to our younger associates through learning and networking opportunities and provides those of us who are more ‘seasoned’ with a chance to give back to our community and industry,” stated Jeff Harris, Division President – Carolinas Region, Lennar Multifamily Communities, LLC. A member of the ULI Charlotte Advisory Board and Vice Chair for the Sponsorship Committee, Jeff is a valued member of ULI Charlotte and we are excited to have him back after a hiatus in Atlanta.
Jeff was born in Summit, NJ and raised Martinsville, VA. He later discovered the fruits of North Carolina when he attended Wake Forest University for his undergraduate degree, and later UNC Chapel Hill for his MBA. As a multi-family developer, he finds the diversity of tasks associated with the development process and the opportunity to enhance his community through development/redevelopment of quality spaces, as some of the most rewarding parts of his job. As a seasoned professional, Jeff’s career advice is to find a profession in which you are passionate, but to not let your pursuit of career goals and aspirations lead you away from what’s most important – family, friends and other important relationships.
Jeff and his wife Janet have been married for 29 years and have two children, Kelly and Grant. Jeff loves to do anything outdoors including playing golf, hiking, fishing, and visiting his favorite vacation spot at Watersound Beach, FL.
When asked why he belongs to ULI, Jeff shared that “ULI is the best organization I have found to broaden one’s context for decision making, whether through introduction to industry professionals, groundbreaking projects or research into various fields which influence the development/investment process.” Jeff has been a member of ULI since July 1997. Happy 18th membership anniversary Jeff!
