After last night’s Panthers football game, we have a long way to go before Amanda achieves her goal of seeing them win a super bowl, but she is optimistic. Amanda Gardner is the Executive Vice President – Controller at New Forum, Inc. and a member of the ULI Charlotte Advisory Board. Originally from Utica, NY and a graduate of University of Nevada, Las Vegas, she loves to vacation in Wild Dunes, runs, supports Muscular Dystrophy Association, and enjoys time with her husband and four teenagers.
When asked what the coolest real estate project she participated in, she said Ayrsley. “I’ve been involved since the idea phase and while there were challenges along the way, seeing it thrive as a successful mixed-use community is pretty cool.” Over her 18 years at Net Forum, Amanda has learned from Charley Hodges (the person she most admires). He has taught her about development and operations but equally important was learning how to run a company that creates a sense of unity and family among its employees.
Through ULI, Amanda has met new people that have a positive impact on our community. “I belong to ULI to learn from those who have a similar passion and apply those lessons in their organizations.” It is fitting that Amanda’s favorite quote is “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” Winston Churchill.
