From real estate development and ULI Charlotte leadership to NCDOT to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Planning Commission, Tracy Dodson’s free (and professional) time is immersed in land use and our community. Ask anyone that has met Tracy, you will hear them describe her as committed, driven and passionate.
Tracy was first exposed to ULI and the broad network as an UNC Charlotte undergraduate in architecture. Later in her professional life, and as a graduate student at Harvard, she integrated ULI into her life. Tracy is currently the Vice President of Brokerage and Development at Lincoln Harris.
While in college, Tracy made the move to Charlotte from Raleigh. She is married to Mike, with whom she has a three-year-old daughter and a German Shepard, Silka (fully part of the family). She is a dedicated mentor for ACE and believes in youth education and health. Her favorite vacation spots are Jackson Hole, WY and Montana, which both hold special memories for her. She says the closest she’s come to reading a book lately is reading the ULI Emerging Trends in Real Estate report.
Her leadership advice is “Don’t settle for anything less than what you love doing. Everyone brings value no matter their leadership level or who is on their team.” Tracy is an active member of ULI for many reasons, one being the exposure. ULI is an incredible network of people and projects around the world, all shaping how we perceive and operate. “I attribute ULI Charlotte for helping me create a great network in real estate industry at a young age. I have never stopped growing in ULI as it has been a tremendous benefit to me throughout my career. For our company, it offers exposure to the many projects and developments in our region.” Tracy, we couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
