ULI’s Center for Sustainability launched a new program at the 2016 Fall Meeting in Dallas to help commercial building tenants reduce energy use and increase financial returns.
The ULI Tenant Energy Optimization Program grew out of an effort to reduce tenant energy use in the Empire State Building and was replicated by ten pilot tenants at various sites, with tenant leases ranging from 2,500 to 25,000 square feet. Tenants that implement the process could see an energy savings of 30 to 50 percent and an average internal rate of return of 25 percent on their investment.
To help building owners, brokers, tenants, and other practitioners such as architects, engineers, and project managers implement and integrate the Tenant Energy Optimization process into their business practices, we have developed resources to walk you through the process from pre-lease to post-occupancy:
- Download complimentary resource guides.
- View case studies from ten participating companies such as Estée Lauder, Bloomberg LP and Cushman & Wakefield.
- Watch the Fall Meeting concurrent session on the critical role of tenants in energy efficiency.
