Charlotte’s Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) Committee will host a Fall Conversation with a Leader on October 23 featuring Marie McLucas, Chief Financial Officer with Primax Properties.

Female members will have to opportunity learn about Marie’s background and career path while engaging in an easygoing discussion with her and fellow industry peers.

Marie McLucas joined Primax Properties in 1995 following a seven-year career in public accounting.  Marie oversees Primax’s policies and procedures for all financial functions, including budgeting, credit/loan administration and cash management, financial reporting, tax reporting and planning, insurance and risk management, and human resources.  She also is very actively involved in the company’s strategic planning.

Marie has received numerous professional awards and recognitions from organizations such as the North Carolina Association of Certified Professional Accountants, Real Estate Forum Magazine, The Mecklenburg Times, and the Charlotte Business Journal.  She is a past President of CREW Charlotte and a former Foundation Board member and committee chair for the national CREW organization, among numerous of other volunteer leadership roles.
