Since the launch of WLI in 2013, ULI Charlotte has provided special programming for women in ULI and have seen an increase in participation in leadership and on committees. We are thrilled to see the increased numbers of ULI female members getting involved. We must be doing something right, but if you have some ideas, please share them.
Upcoming Activities
With a successful symposium in January on The Changing Workplace, the WLI committee has been busy pulling together additional programs and activities. We want to offer education, networking and community impact throughout our activities.
Discovering the Rail Trail ($15)
May 10, 2016 • 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
SouthEnd – Atherton Mill
Learn about Charlotte’s new Rail Trail and nearby developments, in a fun and engaging scavenger hunt. Charlotte’s Rail Trail will be a vibrant public park that winds through the very heart of our city, where the unexpected can be found around every bend. The 3.3 mile trail will connect communities and knit together neighborhoods from Sedgefield, Southside Park, Brookhill, Dilworth, Wilmore, and South End to Uptown.
The Rail Trail will become the place to discover cafés and bars, explore galleries, see artists at work, stumble upon an impromptu concert, stroll with your family, or relax on a bench and watch the city come alive around you.
The walkway alongside the Blue Line already exists. With the help of passionate supporters, today’s trail will be transformed into a network of gardens, public art, unique spaces and activities, and an endless string of places to sit, eat and play.
