The Pathways Program has been created to help our next generation explore a healthy and more connected community. We believe it will enable youth to grow and prosper, providing a new perspective on how they may impact the community they live in, as well as opportunities for future jobs.

During our time in the classroom, our focus will be to engage students to open their minds to future career opportunities in real estate development, planning, design, engineering, finance, trades, and more. We want to introduce the students to skills needed to be future leaders in the community.

ULI Pathways is underway in Mr. Elijah Watson’s 7^th grade class at Ranson Middle school. During the time in the classroom, the students, have been learning the concepts of trade-offs, risk, public good, supply and demand, and opportunity costs that impact their lives daily.  Students get a gut level understanding of how these forces influence the decisions developers make in their proposals for design, market demand, city revenues, and investor returns.  We work with the students in creating their own towns with Legos so that they are  able to think outside of the box.
