Regional Initiative Councils: A Deeper Dive
February 9, 2016
Together, ULI Charlotte, South Carolina and Triangle offer Regional Initiative Councils (RICs). Modeled after national product councils, the mission of the regional council program is to convene ULI members (throughout North and South Carolina) to promote learning, build District Council leadership, share knowledge and expertise and encourage regional collaboration. The RICs provide a small group forum to meet with members across the region. More than 130 members in three RICs will meet prior to the Carolinas’ Meeting in Raleigh. Members of the Market Impact Council will tour North Hills and discuss economic development with Chris Chung, Executive Director of Thrive in North Carolina. Rethinking Southern Cities Council will take a facilitated deep dive, discussing gentrification, followed by member project highlights. And the newest RIC, Young Leader Council, will kick off their first meeting with a roundtable of seasoned members, followed by a tour of HQ Raleigh. Click here for more information, and consider applying for 2017. Applications will open in the fall.
