Recap: An Inside Look at the Inter City Visit
A panel discussion about lessons learned from Charlotte Regional Business Alliance's visit to Pittsburgh.
Creating thriving communities is a core part of the ULI mission. Participate in a community building initiative that introduces youth to architecture, urban planning, creative placemaking and economic development through the lens of hip hop culture. The Camp is based on the “4C’s”: Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, and Critical Thinking.
Architect Mike Ford, the founder of the Hip Hop Architecture Camp, will discuss “making design a more inclusive process and designing a better future by acknowledging who has not been involved in the past. We must diversify the profession by improving access, relevancy and inclusivity.” ULI Charlotte hosted the first Charlotte Hip Hop Architecture Camp in August.
Come see the premiere the Charlotte music video created by the students, followed by the students sharing their insights about the community they live in and want to create.
You won’t want to miss the exciting energy created by this program. This event is free for our community
