    Dive deeper into greater energy efficiency with a conversation with Ashely Coleman, Duke Energy’s Emerging Technology Development Manager.  Ashley will touch on programs for commercial and residential development focusing on energy efficiency, grid modeling as they develop future programs, and government incentives. As we try to move the needle in electrification and sustainable energy use in the built environment, understanding the programs available to builders and developers allows companies to better plan.

    Ashley Coleman

    Technology Development Manager - Emerging Technology Office, Duke Energy, Inc.

    Ashley Coleman is a graduate of North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University with a BS in Architectural Engineering and a MS in Civil Engineering with a focus on energy efficiency. Ashley is an employee of 13 years at Duke Energy. She has engineering experience in Fossil and Hydro plant operations and maintenance, Fuel Flexibility and Efficiency testing, and project engineering. Currently, as a Technology Development Manager in Emerging Technology Office, Ashley focuses on non-lithium energy storage, hydrogen, and distributed customer solutions, as well as conducts monitoring of future clean technologies that will impact Duke Energy 5 – 15 years out. She also manages Duke Energy’s Intellectual Property Committee and external relationships with research consultants, universities, and clean tech venture capitals and accelerator partnerships.
