Over the past few months, ULI Charlotte has committed to accelerating our work toward a more equitable and inclusive urban land development industry. Now more than ever, we understand our responsibility in restructuring the ideals of the past for a more inclusive future. I am excited to have joined ULI Charlotte to support diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization and local community. The mission of ULI Charlotte DEI initiative is to commit to be a catalyst, by intentionally building leadership, membership and programming that is more representative of the populations within our communities. We would like to provide members with an update of our continued work with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative:
Joining the ULI Charlotte Management Committee, I am the Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiatives
Drafting and implementing a strategic plan prioritizing the work: Enhance DEI, Build Awareness, and Industry Access
Forming the “DEI Community Resource Group” that will meet to advise on the direction and outreach of ULI Charlotte DEI Initiatives within the Charlotte community
Coordinating and scheduling DEI trainings and dialogues for members of ULI and the community
There is a lot of exciting and important work happening within our organization. ULI Charlotte is differentiating ourselves by identifying and prioritizing the most effective and impactful areas of this work.
